Week 13 Thoughts:
-This was supposed to be a week where the top teams had easier match-ups. Several struggled, but every undefeated and one loss team came out ahead.

-SMU was very close last week, ahead 13-0 only to lose 14-13. This week they weren’t close at all, but I’m getting more optimistic for their season ender with UConn.

-Let’s take a second and look at all the remaining teams on our list: (Note: All ranking are from last week as the new rankings aren’t out yet. Those will effect some of this, but most is general).

Marshall and Colorado State: Marshall had a scare, but came out ahead last week. There might be some discussion of putting Boise State/Colorado State ahead of Marshall if one of them win the Mountain West, but I think Marshall is ranked by the end of the year by the committee and in the Peach/Fiesta/Cotton. If they slip up, it probably goes to Boise State/Colorado State if they win the Mountain West (same division). If both Marshall and Boise State/Colorado lose, then it’s tougher to say, but I’d guess (one of) the American champ at this point.

Florida State: The lone Power 5 conference unbeaten team and last year’s national champions are clearly not looked at all that favorably by the committee which has them at #3. They’ll certainly be in if they win out, but will probably be out with a loss vs. Florida or in the ACC Championship vs. Georgia Tech.

Alabama: Definitely in if they beat Auburn and Georgia/Missouri in the SEC Championship. It’s possible they end up in with a loss, but probably need some help then (unless its Missouri they lose to as the Tigers wouldn’t jump them and no way the SEC gets no one in).

Oregon: Definitely control their own destiny and if win out, probably play in the Rose Bowl regardless (either as the #2 or #3 team). Lose and they are out unless there is a lot of chaos.

Mississippi State: They are sitting at #4 right now and have one game left at Ole Miss. This will be a hard spot to maintain if Alabama doesn’t lose (sending them to the SEC Championship Game).

Baylor: They are back a bit, but in a good position to rise. TCU is ahead of them a few spots, but the two have the same records, Baylor beat TCU, and Baylor still has Kansas State to play (although their schedule so far as been weaker).

TCU: Their only loss was a very close one on the road to Baylor and have a good schedule. They can probably stay above Baylor, but they need to look more impressive. Cannot afford another win like vs. Kansas.

Ohio State: Buckeyes very much would benefit from Wisconsin winning a close one vs. Minnesota and then beat the Badgers. Three decently ranked wins would help take away having the worse loss on this list at least some. It’s hard to say how the Buckeyes compare to the Big 12 competition in this, but the extra game in the Big Ten Championship probably helps if it comes down to that (although will likely only if everyone on here wins out).

Week 14 Thoughts:
-Florida State hosts Florida this week. Marshall hosts Western Kentucky (Friday).

-(One loss with a *) TCU* @ Texas (Thursday), Colorado State* @ Air Force (Friday), Michigan @ Ohio State*, Mississippi State* @ Ole Miss, Baylor* @ Texas Tech, Auburn @ Alabama*, Oregon* @ Oregon State,

-Winless SMU hosts Houston on Friday.

-No undefeated/1-loss teams are underdogs. The closest is Mississippi State who is a 2 point favorite. TCU is next at 6.5
