Eleven Years Ago - TULANE Football
A church friend reminded that TULANE was going to drop football as well for financial reasons. The alumni and fans threw a holy fit. Big difference, Tulane has their own Board of Trustees.

Tulane Football Survives

The mindset in Louisiana's different from that of those in Alabama, and you're right, Tulane drives its' own bus, they don't have a council of doom hovering over them looking to destroy them like UAB obviously does.

They also have a president who threatened to sue the NCAA. That's why Tulane is in the American conference instead of CUSA.

And Tulane has Jill & Avie Glazer, son of Malcolm Glazier. The elder Glazer has more money than PBjr, Witta Harbert & Mark Cuban, combined.
