The press isn't easy to break. Without Freeman, they would have beaten us going away. Trey made it look easy, but it isn't. They aren't a top 15 team, but they are good and they will be playing in the NCAA tournament.

Yeah if you live in Richmond and have to live by the vcu propaganda you hear every vcu recruit is a 4 star player and the are going to the final four. I can't wait to play Rice. Rhoades told me once that it is too bad ODU's basketball team is so bad. That was on Christmas EVE.[/i]

RE: Game #6: Virginia Commonwealth University
• Looks like LSU’s loss to Old Dominion two weeks ago wasn’t so awful after all. The Monarchs beat VCU at home on Saturday to improve to 5-1. ODU won the game because it only committed 12 turnovers against VCU’s Havoc. As I’ve always said, if you can take care of the ball against that press -- and that is a big if -- then VCU is just another good team.

Does everyone have big blue room access or was it opened up for everyone? I've never seen that many people in there.

I tweetered to one of the VA AP voters on Sunday about voting ODU. Wasn't quite voter intimidation but not that far off.

VCU is soft!!!!
Love that we can wear this proud distinction for the year!
Last time we owned them in 2011, our enjoyment wasn't long lasting.

In fairness, the week that included a VCU win also included a reaming from Illinois State. Had ODU won that tournament, they could be on the verge of the top 25.

Can you blame him? Looks like their loss to us knocked them out the top 25 altogether. lol

They were giving them out Free to students!
Had hundreds of them at the student entrance. To bad the students did not show up!
I was very disappointed in that.
Not sure what they will do with the hundreds of leftovers.

Give them out at the next game hopefully. I wasn't able to make the VCU game (watched with the family), but I want one of those shirts.

Dayton, St Louis, St Joe's, to name a few, are anything but soft.

look i know you are a vcu and shaka lover but never said there aren't a couple good team in the A10 but the style of the league is softer.. I go to half dozen A10 games in philly every year. St Joe is in a rebuilding year - lost to Western Kentucky and to the zags by 58. not going anywhere this year. Yes they are soft. Dayton will fade second half and go to the nit like they always do. Look for 2 maybe 3 A10 teams in the tourney. St Louis is not going anywhere this year, barely beat NC A&T. VCU is hard on the outside and soft in the middle. Just the way it is, get use to CUSA getting better press this year. Charlotte is for real, UTEP, WKU, Latech, odu.....

I didn't say they were all good, St Louis is terrible. But soft is the last thing I would call the A10. I will refrain from the name calling and ignore the juvenile "accusation" and just leave it at that.

To be fair it was thanksgiving break. I had a ticket, but couldn't get back due to that.
