RBL- some volleyball information
You are right that the Regional Sites are in Louisville, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Ames, Iowa. But before that 4 teams will be sent to 16 opening round sites, which I believe are determined by seedings. Based on our current ranking (36th), when we win the tournament, I could see you making a return trip to southwest Texas. UT is #2 right now. If you compare it to basketball, we would likely be the equivalent of an 8 or 9 seed which would translate to a 2 or 3 seen at an opening round site. I assume Austin would be a home site and UT a number one seed. That would likely be the closest site to Little Rock. We would play in the 2 vs. 3 game, one way or another. While our chances of beating UT in Austin are minimal, I would like the opportunity to play a team ranked about where we are on a neutral court. In the past, we have always opened up as the 4 seed playing a very highly ranked team on their home court. Not an ideal situation. An NCAA tournament win would be a great accomplishment for our school and program.
