OT - Look who's undefeated and in the post-season playoffs!
MIT!

The Engineers are 10-0 after winning their first-ever NCAA D-III playoff game 27-20 in overtime on a "spectacular TD catch" by math/computer science double major Seve Esparrago.

MIT has been undefeated before, notes an alum and fellow science writer:

Paul Raeburn Wrote:That was back in 1881 (not a typo), when the football team went 3-0. MIT disbanded the team in 1901, before reviving it in 1978 as a club team and joining Division 3 in 1988.

Here's a link to a Boston Globe feature on this magical season, includuing the "winning formula" for each victory. (A blocked extra point in the final minute preserved their 35-34 win over Western New England on October 25.)

While we're battling LaTech for the C-USA West title, the Engineers will be facing the Wesley Wolverines in Dover, Del., who are ranked #4 and #5 in the two major D-III polls. (Audio link)
