Just called and got his voice mail. I was real polite and even wished him a Happy Thanksgiving and a Go Blazers!

Called Ronald Gray at the number reported by Birmingham for UAB on Twitter. Was that his cell number? I received an automated message right away like on from a cell phone. I left a message in support of UAB... called James Wilson and William Sexton and of course, both were not available so left messages with their secretaries.

He is one that was a silent supporter during the stadium debacle. I guess he's been compromised by the ring leaders.

I wouldn't take all of those tweets as complete fact.

We aren't sure who all supports UAB but we sure do know who doesn't.

If talking to/emailing everyone I know that may have some sway on the outcome is "sticking my head in the sand and stuck up my arse" then I'm guilty as charged.

Trying to keep most around here calm and level headed is like emptying the ocean with a spoon. My hope is that some will read my posts and decide it's best not make a horses a$$ out of themselves for the good of this cause.

Agreed, contact everyone. Certain trustees will never support UAB but if we show the outrage is legit and growing then we may help them to reconsider. All we can do is make our voices heard about the support we have for our University. Please take a stand and let the powers that be know they have awakened a sleeping dragon.

To paraphrase he said that the university is in the middle of a study and football draws a lot of money away from other programs. So, for the record, you heard a BOT member state that the football program is being considered for elimination? To put it another way, he did not deny that the football program is being considered for elimination? Correct?

Correct. When I if the program was in danger, he replied that right now they are in the middle of a report, but some programs may have to he cut to save money AND the football program cost a lot of money.
I'm not a chicken little or do I post rumors from Ted in math class or someone's dad who heard this. I've talked to Rogers, I've called St John. Hell I've called England. So I only post what I personally have done or heard. Take it as you please.
