same on nba.com

it is what it is, and always will be

That's why the Lakers are on ESPN close to 20 times. It ain't about the teams or the games, it's all about the $$$ with eyeballs and clicks.

So we blowout the Clippers. They move up one spot from 11 to 10 while we stay the same. The Warriors beat No. 22 Utah and No. 26 OKC and move up one spot. Even with barely losing to Toronto on the road with 5 guys out we still have won 2 more games than GS.

I just hope we keep advancing in the playoffs and force them to look at us. Until then, I don't expect much.

RE: Golden State Tops Powerrankings
I usually dont give a crap about power rankings because they are meaningless but that's absolute bull****. The Grizz have a better record: have played a tougher schedule, have had more playoff success in the past 4 years, and have won like 12 of 13 head to head matchups with the Warriors.(And Gasol and Tony didnt play in the 1 game we lost). There is absolutely NO argument that can be made to justify ranking the Warriors above the Grizz. Guess they just couldnt allow themselves to put little ole Memphis at 1

We could win the championship and we still wouldn't get any respect. Would be considered a fluke

"Since the Rudy Gay trade, Toronto sports the East's best record at 52-24, which is 4½ games better than Chicago's 48-29. "

Classic.

Classic.

Since the Rudy Gay trade Memphis is 89-45 (excluding post-season). Just a hair under the Raptor's percentage but Gasol being out so long last year hurt the overall percentage.

Zero mention of the fact that Memphis had 8 players dressed when the Raptors beat us. In Raptors fans minds that means the Raps would beat the Grizz 4-0 in a playoff series.

Remember... this is a team that lost to the NETS last year.

It did say this:

Quote:The Grizzlies, though, are right there, and likely would have leapfrogged the Warriors had a stomach virus that spread through the whole team not contributed to Memphis' second-half fade in Toronto on Wednesday night.

Although playing the No. 3 team on their list to a close game with all those players out should bump us up.

RE: Golden State Tops Powerrankings
I think that the espn power ranking is done by one writer. That's just one mans opinion. The lack of national attention is evident elsewhere in the nightly highlights and prob won't change much, so it is annoying.

An eastern conference team that would be an 11 seed in the west at the moment gets most of the publicity.

Just keep winning. Fortunately for memphis the postseason is based on actual standings and not a committee set out to seed teams according to attendance, tv ratings or fan support etc...

Allen usually struggles against guards like Curry who like to bounce off of screens all the time. Lee would be a better option.

Curry is going to score. Make him play defense and don't let the other guys burn you and you can win.
