It's about an hour from Ruston. They have a Horseshoe, Diamond Jack's, El Dorado, and a brand new Margaritaville. I hope all of y'all making the trip over have a safe and enjoyable time in north Louisiana. FYI, if you stay in Shreveport/Bossier go to Superior Grill and enjoy a frozen margarita and thank me later.

after the last health inspection i saw of Superior Grill I wouldn't suggest anyone go there

Good thing all gambling is done on the river, where it is legal (yeah, right).

Oh, my ... a significant turn in this thread.

But - thankfully - it's not over ... was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

RE: Anybody going to Ruston?
As always when Rice is playing at Louisiana Tech, I'll be there, as it's very convenient to visit my brother in Bossier City and then make the 70 mile drive to Ruston (and it's really convenient this season since it's around the Thanksgiving holiday) and then after the game visit my parents and grandmother in their final resting places.

Visiting the casinos falls into the "fools and their money" category (I've been only once in the last 15 years, and that was more to change money than to gamble), and the prices at the Superior Grill dissuade me from going there.
