Opening of Deer Hunting Season Really Hurt Attentance at the Game on Saturday
Most people do not realize this but the opening of deer hunting season cost us over 5-7.5 thousand people in attendance. This is a long time family tradition for people who hunt. I don't think anyone has brought this up, but it was a major factor in the attendance not being higher.

Why would this only affect Memphis and not the $EC schools? They have more deer hunters collectively than the city of Memphis.

I get it. There are some conflicts. Most people are talking about the entire season, but these last two games are the chance to make history.

I am sick of hearing about the excuses for last Saturday's attendance. It was very disappointing....period.

40K is the minimum acceptable number for this Saturday.

When I deer hunt I am generally done by 9-10 am (at the latest). You either got one by then or you didn't

Deer season (gun) opened in Tennessee. Duck season opened in Arkansas. I know some that hunted ducks in the morning and went to the game.

What's gonna be the excuse this weekend? Too full of turkey or the dog ate your homework?

this is true. unless you travel 8 hours to go hunting, which I have to do these days.

My grandson got his first deer last weekend here in Texas. About two hours out of the city.

RE: Opening of Deer Hunting Season Really Hurt Attentance at the Game on Saturday
My son and I Hunted and made the game BUT we did have to leave the camp early and hustle to make it. At 10:30 he jumped a good buck while leaving. I hate it for him. Maybe next time.

We have missed 11-12am games before when we were forced to make a choice. We love both sports activities.

We haven't missed a game in 2-3 years and try to never miss more than one. Unfortunately, you cannot be in two places at once. You have to make a choice.

Get there early and stay late . . . Wear blue!!
