Plus/Minuses from the Jackson State game.
Haase used the most lineups he has used so far in the season in this game. 28 different lineups (the introduction of Lee to the lineups are creating new combos). 10 lineups had positive effects. 10 had negative effects and 8 had zero effect.

The game was close up until the end of the game. Until UAB's 11-0 run to end the game, the second half was mostly a one possession game.

UAB went on two runs in this game. UAB had an 8-0 run in the first half with a lineup of Baxter, Norton, Brown, Cokley and Sullivan. The biggest run came in the final 2:12 of the game. UAB went 11-0 from being down 3 to winning by 8. That lineup was Baxter, Norton, Brown, Mehinti and Madison. Those two lineups had the best plus/minus numbers by for.

The worst lineup was Washington, Cokley, Baxter, Norton and Brown with a -9 effectiveness.

Individually, all but two players had positive numbers. The leaders were Mehinti with +14, Norton with +11 and Madison with +10. The two players with negative numbers were Washington with -18, and Cokley with -5.

Wasn't Mehinti one of the worst differentials last game? And it surprises me that cj is that far negative. Geez.

I like Norton, brown, Baxter, and Madison on the court together. I know that we are a little small at that point, but I feel like those 4 can do a variety of things on offense. I'm expecting to see a lot more of lee as he progresses, and I think watts will likely play his way into a bigger role. He got better as the season went on last year, and actually started hitting 3s at a solid rate.

Before Norton came in at the end, Haase had his oldest line up on the floor for a bit. Watts, Mehinti, Washington, Baxter, and Madison. That's the first time this year I've seen him do that.

I can't recall a time in the past 10 years where we've have 3 freshman on the floor like we have this year. I'm really excited about this team's potential.

The game is still too fast for Lee and he's still doing good things. Once he figures out where his spot is offensively, our lineups will look a lot better.
