... to catch that ball on Fox Sports, oddly enough showing the only game on there -- then NIU to run thru everything. AND the MAC as a whole -- OMG. 2003 -- the Year.

This is a normal transition when you become an NIU fan, Todd. Denial is the first stage...

It was a confusing situation. She ran off with some guy to move to Maryland. Broke my heart. She told me he loves turtles and that's why (no lie). She'd IM me here and there, felt bad about me... so when they were settling into Maryland in the Fall of 2003, a big nationally televised game on Fox Sports was to be had -- Maryland @ NIU. Her new BF was a HUGE Maryland fan. Thanks to PJ Fleck's miracle catch to make NIU basically win the game, he ended up throwing and smashing sh!t in their new apt living room. I was bound with glee. :)

Only to be followed up by many MAC victories over P5 teams! It was like Christmas was coming early and Santa accidently put my address on presents for others!

Anyway (putting fictional beer down), back to my main point: If NIU beats @WMU tomorrow -- I wish that they beat BGSU solidly, and I hope that Santa delivers poison to Boise & Marshall in their champ games so that NIU goes to the Access Bowl... and that Florida State goes to their bowl to play them for a Rematch.
