I know that this is an old thread, but after seeing the topic I had to add my two cents.

I think it is society as a whole that encourages that situation. We have trivialized sex to such a great deal that it is almost meaningless. Instead of treating it as the greatest gift one can give to their spouse, we have given birth to "anything goes/no judgment" society.

I, especially, blame music, movies and popular culture. Most of today's action movies involves men being James Bond copies and heroines being seducing women. I am a country music fan and the hyper sex drive in the genre is getting crude and embarrassing.

The only solution to solve the problem would involve reforming society and bringing back chivalry/Biblical way of treating women (Proverbs) with respect and courtesy.

I would suggest telling girls not to go to fraternity parties, but will only result in hyper feminists screaming that I am "trying" to hold them down or tell them how to live their lives. No one EVER deserves to be raped, but hanging around drunken frat boys is a good way to raise the percentage of rape occurring.

P.S: This was all written by a college student. Not a bitter old man.

Not dismiss some of your well founded points but..

Chivalry was nothing more than a polite face up front to score later on.

If you think women in Biblical times got a lot of respect you don't know too much about those times.

I won't deny it. I view chivalry as what it should be, not what it was. Same for Bible times. Women should be treated as well some verses said they should be. Unfortunately, humans ruin beautiful ideals.
