We suck - WMU is great. We don't have a chance. Knute Fleck is too much for the beloved.

It's a fair spread. I think it should be a bit lower because Franklin is NOT going to be close to 100% at all. I'd put it at about 3.5 pts, due to home field advantage -- basically even-teams. If Franklin was 100% and never got an ankle injury, I'd put it at WMU -8.5.
If WMU turns the ball over like we did @CMU yesterday, NIU will win.

Especially for the Broncos this year. Soaring past nearly every one.

RE: NIU 7 pt. Dogs
Well, at the time I ALMOST bet on the Purdue game -- the 1 game where they didn't cover the spread -- the spread was 9pts where I was at. We lost by 9 (even).

Seems right, give them 3 for home field and they're looked better.

You're always making excuses before games are even played. We've lost our starting QB and All-MAC quality WR and LB. I guess you could say we'd be favored by 10 if they were all playing.

Every team has injuries. We lost our top 4 LBs, but we keep ROWING and over come advertise!

ROW'd yourself right into having pretty much 0 chance to win the MAC West. Admirable for sure.

I have watched both teams play, NIU more than WMU of course and this seems right to me.
NIU's performance at Ohio gives me hope. Akeem seemed healthy and ready to make an impact and Hare threw the ball well when NIU really needed a drive.
I am hoping for a competitive game with NIU winning late. WMU is loaded so this will not be an easy one and WMU is going to be solid for a long time to come.

I love the fact that for the past week and a half, our boys have been hearing how they're gonna get their a**es kicked on Friday.

The Western guys been hearing the same thing from NIU fans. All of it is meaningless.
This talk isn't going to hype up either team more.

RE: NIU 7 pt. Dogs
My assessment:
Chances of WMU winning by Big Margin: 15%
Chances of WMU winning by Comfortable Margin: 25%
Chances of it being a Close Game: 40% [NIU: 30%, WMU: 10%]
Chances of NIU winning by Comfortable Margin: 15%
Chances of NIU winning by Big Margin: 5%
So overall, 50/50. If it's close, NIU will more likely win, as that's how NIU does it. Most likely scenario it'll be, too. But if it's not a pretty close game, IMO, most likely it'll be WMU being the one who wins.

NIU hasn't been a Dog in a MAC game since Toledo in 2011, and that's the only time since 2009. We'll see how this goes

7 point spread is a joke. But then again a 7 point spread was a joke in Evanston too.

By starting QB do you mean Mac? If so, that was probably a blessing.
