Excellent article. The two cowards Watts and Mackin are gutless and too stupid to realize their jobs are gonna be vaporized.Today those kids gave everything (Howard was on the sidelines hurling) for their school .It's a damned shame Watts and Mackin lack the testicular fortitude to do the same.

It was a great article. Why can't we just leave it at that?

Watts isn't going anywhere. He'll be the BoT's fairhaired boy. You don't fire your dog.

Mackin either grows a pair bigger than shriveled raisins and fights it in public, tells what he knows, or he takes his fat payoff for silence and gets a job in banking.

Yes, I'm pissed off this morning. I really think they're going to kill the program and there's not a damn thing I can do to stop it.

Not the most reliable of sources, but a co-worker told me this morning, he listened to the morning sports talk show on JOX this past Saturday, can't remember its' name, claims that a caller professing to be a former UAB assistant football coach stated that he knew that those sleazebags on the BOT were "doing everything they could behind the scenes" to get rid of the program...Sure hope whoever that was (provided that it's true, the "source" has no reason to fabricate this) will step up if need be to tell this story to SACS if it comes down to it, not saying it will, it's just that if they do murder our program, besides the massive boycott of UAB to come, what's gonna happen next? Nothing?

RE: Scarbinsky's Latest - The Blazers Win The Day
SACS, if I am correct, has the same limitation as the NCAA in that they can't require sworn testimony and must thereby rely upon voluntary statements (in this case by current UAB administrators) in order to do anything. Outside statements by some former coach would probably not be credited.

In the case at Auburn, the BBHC was willing to make statements and SACS issued a probation based upon them against the AU BOT. If no one in UAB's administration is willing to support the school's FB program by giving testimony, nothing can happen to the UA BOT. it can leave a stench in the air like the O.J. "not guilty" verdict, but the BOT can survive that with some comfort.

Coached under Hilyer through Brown. Cannot think of his name to save my life right now. I want to say his last name was Crowe.
