They're both related to the concept of: Just because you don't NEED something, doesn't mean it isn't beneficial. So saying a pump-up video isn't literally Needed doesn't say much. You don't NEED a fight song, or fire-up-the-troops speech at halftime, etc. -- nor do you NEED a pump-up video. But they all serve a positive purpose (in this case, getting the juices flowing and adding motivation & energy).

That's where we disagree. :) It does as much "nothing" as advertising, pre-game speeches, half-time speeches, etc.

You can try and take the will of the Huskies just like everyone else did for the past 67 games and prior four MAC West titles. But during game 68, the will of the Broncos will be broken and the Huskies will once again be heading to the MAC championship. Speeches work great but are just words. The Huskies have determination.
