We lost @ Ole Miss before they had all their injuries, it was a 7-3 game in the 4th quarter...
We lost by 7 @ UCLA.
We lost by 4 to Houston.

We are now 8-3 and have won 5 in a row.

VS

Cincy

Lost @ Ohio State 50-28
Lost to Memphis 41-14 with us taking a a few knees @ their 2-4 yard line to end the game.
Lost @ Miami 55-34

They are 7-3 and also have a 5 game winning streak.

The level of competition during the 5 game win streaks is about the same. Except our top 6 conference win beat their top 6 conference win head to head. (Temple/ECU).

They were getting 2 votes after they beat SMU, South Florida and Tulane. It's jumped to 7 after beating ECU and beating UConn.

We are getting no votes after beating SMU, Tulsa, Tulane, Temple and South Florida.

Again, it's gotta be national perception. It's the only thing it could be at this point especially considering we crushed them head to head on their home field and had we not been nice it would have been a lot worse for them.

The lost to Houston is a major deal breaker for the voters.

7 possession in 2nd half 142 total yards with 1 FG 3 punts and two turnovers.

Clock T.O.P. started plays yards result
14:54 3 00:49 MEM 28 3 0 Punt
11:11 3 02:58 MEM 21 6 20 Punt
04:31 3 03:03 MEM 25 8 26 Punt
13:27 4 06:00 MEM 24 13 62 Field Goal
05:50 4 01:10 MEM 47 3 7 Punt
02:58 4 00:08 HOU 42 1 14 Fumble
01:52 4 00:50 MEM 26 4 23 Interception

RE: USA Today Coaches Poll
If you think ANY coach actually knows any of that information, you are insane!!!

If you think ole miss wasn't one of those giving us votes prior to playing them, also crazy. ole miss and every other coach in the $EC knows how to vote to give them the biggest advantage.

Sure but they're a bowl team. Not some 2 win team.

Cincy was blown out three games in a row and started getting votes for beating USF, Tulane and SMU.

Not to mention we crushed Cincy 41-14 @ Cincy and we probably could have scored a couple more td's if we wanted too, I know at least one.

We competed @ UCLA and 3 quarters @ Ole Miss before all their injuries and we beat MTSU which is better than Toledo.

Not only did we actually compete in our OOC games but we blew them out head to head. I'm sticking to national perception. As I said in our 5 game win streaks our schedules are comparable. The biggest difference is they beat an ECU team @ Cincy that lost to a Temple team we beat @ Temple.

No way around it really. If Cincy is getting 7 points we should be getting 30.
