Winning obviously is a huge helping hand but now the university has to figure out how to engage the students to gain 5.000 or so every game to add to the total. Getting another 5,000 or so from the public will be easier, I think. Filling 3/4 of that stadium in $EC land will be a good sign for the future.

Students are a major void right now. The support has never been great, but it seems like it's fallen off significantly in the last few years.

In the mid 90 to late 90s the Tigers were nothing to get excited about but student support was there - games and tailgating was just something that was done and it was a blast. I have no idea what happened to the students - the SEC was a big deal then.

He's trolling.

Look at UAB's pathetic attendance numbers and they are Div. 1

Just give him a Woo Pig Soiueeee and he'll probably pee a little after the beating his team took this weekend.

Yep. My friends and I were commenting on that Saturday. When we were in school (early 2000s), the Greek community was there at all games, and plenty of non-Greeks attended. It certainly wasn't packed, but there were a few thousand. You had to get to the stadium if you wanted better seats.

Even with the tarps that they've added, the student section is pretty bare now.
