Hopefully this is the last year we go the JUCO route to fill holes. By next year we should have enough underclassmen in the program ready to step in and take the place of the seniors we are losing.

The thing I like about him is what you see from good corners which is they play the ball and not the receiver.

Ya, Fuente's player philosophy really seems to not be working out...

It's a highlight tape. Getting beat ends up on the cutting room floor.

Do you actually believe that JUCO is his philosophy? It is a stop gap to address our severe lack of numbers and to fill holes. No coach wants to rely full time on JUCOs. They want to build a solid base of recruits where they always have talent waiting as red shirts or underclassmen to take over the spot when Sr talent moves on. West was demonized on this board for having to rely so much on JUCOs.

Really... 9-3 and a bowl game after years of frustration. Sounds a lot like 2003 to me!!!

Think both of them won pretty well with them.

There is nothing wrong with filling needs with JUCOs. Most programs do it. You can depend on them too much but nothing indicates there is too much involved here. You need to stop pissing in your own beer.

It is a myth that 'established' programs do not take JUCO's. With most top players leaving for the league as soon as they are able, many of the top programs go the JUCO route.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with filling some immediate needs with JUCOs. I would expect us to sign 5-7 JUCOs in this upcoming class out of a total recruiting class of 25. Additionally, many of the JUCOs that JF has historically signed arrive with 3 years of eligibility remaining.

What in the hell do you think i was saying? Is everyone so damn ignorant in here or what. We have filled our early needs with them and now hopefully we have the foundation built that we no longer will need them in the future.
