Arkansas fans think they're going to a Texas bowl.
I'd love to play UT or UF in B'Ham.

Any bowl would be nice, but from a fan's standpoint that wouldn't be better than an SEC team in BHAm

I'd come to Memphis for that one. That would be a sellout.

That would be a huge game for the Liberty Bowl.

Woloshin said on the radio this morning that UofM's administration wants either the Miami Beach Bowl (vs BYU) or the Birmingham Bowl (vs SEC). I much prefer the latter. Many more Tiger fans would be able to attend and I'll bet UofM would net more money after expenses. Let ECU or UCF have Miami.

If the Tigers can't play in the LB, then I'd love to see that match-up. Arkansas vs Texas would be huge!
I can't see us playing Tennessee in a bowl game. I think that UT can request not to play other in-state teams, so I'd be surprised if the SEC lets them be matched up against us.
If we were picking SEC bowl opponents, my first pick would have been Kentucky. Unfortunately, if they don't beat Louisville, they don't qualify. (6 straight losses to end the year - ouch!). My second choice would be South Carolina. I'd rather play a good offensive team than a good defensive team (Florida).

I know it would be an easier trip for Tiger fans to get to Birmingham, but I kind of like the idea of facing BYU in Miami. Screw the $EC.

Our Bowl Game.
This is not the same BYU team that started the season. They lost their QB.
I want to rumble with the big boys.

I prefer playing in front of a crowd of possibly 50,000 in Birmingham (16,000 Tiger fans?) over a likely crowd of around 15,000 in Miami (3,000 Tiger fans?). Personally, I will gladly attend ANY bowl game, but I hope Aresco and Bowen can see that Memphis in the Birmingham bowl is best for UofM and the AAC. However, from what I keep hearing and seeing, someone is definitely pushing Miami for us. I wish I knew why.

I would love to see us in B'hm. The stadium is a little over an hour from my house.
