The hammer could fall, but I just rechecked our sources which are really good, and nothing has been communicated. In fact, the vibe is more positive than any time in the last few weeks.

Watts is going to make this call.

Based on what I know and what I am piecing together, due to all the pressure (internal and external), they are exploring an alternative approach that gives UAB Football achievable goals to improve fan and financial support. This would include allowing investments into football infrastructure. This would give the BOT the "accountability," and give UAB Football supporters the opportunity to prove they can truly support this program.

With all this being said, let's go occupy Hattiesburg and support these young men, coaches and staff who have truly made us all very proud!

2,000 fans at USM, plus a victory, sends another huge statement!

Go Blazers!

I believe you. But the bolded part is strange to me. Isn't that what they were supposed to be doing anyway?

I just wrote Watts and Mackin again, FWIW. Haven't gotten a response, but I guess they know where we collectively stand.

And I hate to bring this up, but how do we know it's Watts' call?

In other words, how do we know there's not another Fisher/Callaway situation brewing?

Any decision that involves Watts backing down will be cloaked in the guise of additional requirements for "fiscal responsibility," even if they are goals already met or in line to be met. No university president will simply surrender to rabble such as ourselves and the Lady Blazer Warrior Chicks.

It's moot.

It's either the cabal on the board's call, or the hand-picked stooge of the cabal on the board's call.

I know. But how do we know Watts isn't going to decide one thing and be overridden by the board?

But, there I go being negative again, huh.

Christ, none of this makes any sense.

On that we agree. No such thing as business as usual regarding Blazer football. No program in the country deals with the **** we do.

Because he's going to consult and they'll all decide how best to pith our program or back down in a way that saves as much face as possible considering.

Watts has to know that he's very vulnerable right now, and damn few at UAB outside of the east side will lift a finger to protect him... and many would kick him over the cliff.

No one that I know of , that's for sure Hope to see you all for the other big game tomorrow, but I'm in rare form again with not one but 2 blown out tires within a day of each other. Every time I plan a road trip to a UAB sporting event, something (bleeped) up happens...#OccupyHattiesburg
