C'mon we are stAte....they are maroon state. You may be conference champs but you can't respell the rest of is. Sounds almost ULL like.

I'm going to try to make a logical post which doesn't seem easy to do tonight.

I'm pleasantly surprised that we were able to win the conference in our first year. (Yes I know we can still share the title). I was expecting something around a 6-6 record.

Congrats to Louisiana on a very good season. You have had a lot of close games but have been able to pull all of them out in the end. You can still tie us if we lose next week.

Congrats and thank you to App State. You started off the year poorly but have improved greatly. Without you winning tonight we would likely be playing next week for a tie at best in the conference. We still hate you though.

To the rest of the conference, I hope that you can realize that you brought in two schools with vocal fan bases that don't accept anything but winning. I think we've proven that we are good additions to the conference. As for the future, give us your best shot next year because we will be playing to defend our title and to make our first bowl game. GATA Eagles!!!

NM that they proved they were talented enough to beat you a few weeks ago. In fact, TXST is by far the best team you've beaten this season and it wasn't even remotely close to a convincing win.

Please. Don't flatter yourself. It's looking more and more like App is our best win and that's followed by South Alabama. You are not the best team we've beaten all season. I look forward to TXST's continued mediocrity.

Ah, I remember now. After the humiliating loss to Liberty at home, App St was a new team suddenly better than all.

An asterisk....that's just silly. GS was asked to win their schedule. So far they have. The rest of us haven't. If they win next Sat. they will be outright champs. This what playing a full seasons means. You cannot stumble. I know our name has been out there slot but we are not what we were and lately not even what we were earlier in the year. ULL has been up and down this year. Looking at a full year GS is the best team in the conf.

It's a little silly to give GS fans hell for not playing UL and ASU. The fans nor the players get to decide the SBC schedule, and so far they've beaten every SBC on their schedule with a weak ULM ahead to finish out the year.

It's also worth noting that ASU isn't that good this year and UL just got creamed by App State (not taking anything from App). So what if they didn't play two teams that were mediocre or slightly above mediocre at years end. They are not the UL and ASU from years past so I give it a big "who cares?". They didn't play the big dogs? The big dogs didn't play when it mattered. GS is the best team this year and they will prove it against ULM.

Even if you guys get your wish and the whole of all GS fans concede their title is a sham, there's a good chance they'll prove it was no fluke next season, along with App State.

The Florida win was a year ago today, so that's pretty cool timing.

This business about telling people with the rings and trophies that they aren't really conference champs gets old.

If Georgia Southern beats ULM then they have sole possession, better record, undefeated, and with a victory over a team that beat both ULL and A-State. There is no question there. No asterisk. Georgia Southern would indeed be the "best team" because the PURPOSE of a football team is to win championships and Georgia Southern will have been the only one to do that. Therefore....best.

If Georgia Southern loses to ULM they will be champs along with ULL and both will have a loss to a team the other beat. That's as close to equal as you get. Neither party will be able to assert some sort of superiority.

The rings tell the tale. End of story.

I'm super impressed with what y'all were able to accomplish. You transitioned well and that's great for you and the conference as a whole. Congrats again you deserve it.

Of course they are the worst. Those who didn't know they were the worst before they joined weren't paying attention. They've had this humble/thankful act going all year that anyone with any knowledge of them knew was an act.

The fact that they are the worst is one of the things that makes them an asset to the conference.

Losing to Georgia Southern will be more painful than losing to FAU. Beating Georgia Southern will be more enjoyable than beating FAU. The conference has needed stuff like that....and boy does it have it now.
