Those senior corners stepped up today and played out of their minds. And not only that but our safeties were laying the wood

This is something to build on for the future. The type of game kids can draw on in future games to know they can compete and even dominate.

For a defense that has been much maligned all year long, to finally play with confidence and swagger is huge for them and it showed.

Big time game by the d today. Hands down owned the 2nd half.

I've been looking for progress all year. Last quarter of FIU game and all day today I've seen it. Today was very impressive!! Way to go D. Plus, Vaughan (a receiver) laid a monster block on one of their D backs that brought the house down. Absolute thing of beauty!!!

For the first time this season I can honestly say that our defense came to play today! That is how its done. I actually saw a defenders shoulder be involved with the tackle!!No arm tackling today, this is how you play defense! Way to go ODU great win today.

There were some great hits by our D out there today. They were playing out of their minds. So proud to be a Monarch today!

I am fine with Washington as the Player of the Game but the entire defensive unit really deserved it. After getting maligned, disparaged and beaten upon all year they played a great game all the way through the overtime. Winners never quit and they did not. "D" I salute you!
