Joey Jones got a raise after he talked with UAB. I suspect that if he talks to Troy that is his angle again. It doesn't make sense for him to make a lateral jump to Troy, and I highly doubt that he would. But he could use it to get another raise, which I think he would have received anyway with a bowl appearance.

He didn't apply. He talked with them and got the result he wanted.
He also is not unhappy at USA, message board posts to the contrary.
The salary situation at USA is a little complicated and I won't get into it here, but JJ is using these opportunities for a reason.

Clark needs needs 2 years to qualify for his retirement. He has not signed a contract with uab. Troy will be able to get the entire coaching staff, a large portion of current players, and some of our recruits. Uab players will not have to sit out a year once they announce they are ending football.


If you hire clack in a couple of weeks you should win the sunbelt next year.

I would too. Who knows maybe he'd rather jump ship. I don't know what he makes at UAB, but I'm sure Troy could match it.
