The 2 pt conversion attempt was absolutely the right call but we wouldn't have had to do that of we had kicked the fg

It wasn't absolutely the right call. You kick the extra point and you are down 4. If the kick a fg you are only down 7.

I was just being a smart ass. I have no problem with either call.

I don't think it was at that point in the game. Reason being if you're only down 4 points and you can hold Marshall to a FG you're only down 7. If Marshall kicks a FG in the 4th quarter UAB is going to be down 8 needing a TD and 2 pt conversion instead of an extra point.
