I guess. It never adds up correctly. I expect we win but it's under 10.

Seriously guys. We need to lower expectations. This is not the Tiger team of the past decade.
We are going to be lucky to have a .500 season. Seriously.
Think about it. We cannot defend. We cannot shoot. We don't steal the ball anymore because we are not quick handed or footed; thus very few fast breaks. Hence, we don't score on many possessions at all.

Prarie View could be a close game. Be prepared.

I love my Tigers and have for over 50 years. It's gonna be a loooooooong season.

I too Love the Tigers and will attend every game no matter what our record is, however, I don't think it's right to lower expectations, it sends a message to the coaching staff and city and fans that it's ok to have a crap year and we will just lower our expectations for you despite the fact that we are in year six with this coach.

Every coaching staff is going to peaks and Valleys...

The problem with Pastner is he doesn't have much history so it appears that the previous 2 years were the peak of the program with him at the helm.

And that is why I expect more here at this big time hoops program

Agreed...If the previous two years were the peak then yes we need to change directions.

Maybe Josh will draw that play up after a time out with 4 seconds to go.

No matter how bad we look or what the record is, I will be there with my wife and or one of my sons. It's all about the Program to me. The program is bigger, much bigger than just one man who holds the position of head coach. It doesn't matter to me what his name is, if it's Cal or my man Larry or Josh, the program is held up higher than the man.

Don't misunderstand. Pastner is accountable (as are players for effort). I'm speaking of what's going to happen record-wise.
.500 and Pastner will be on the big hot seat.

I think you guys are confusing expectations for the program and expectations for a random year.
.500 for this year is what is going to happen; and NOONE can relax because that is all that is expected.
Because a 2nd year of that gets someone fired.

This is why you do not evaluate and give expectations based on emotions. Nothing has happened that has said that we will have a record anywhere near .500. That is insane. Last years team got ran out of the f' ing gym early in the season. We just lost to a highly ranked team who has the most experienced backcourt in the nation, and we did it with a group of guys who played their first div 1 game. I would say that if we stop thy turnovers, and find an outside shooting threat, we are going to e pretty damned good.

Last years team had 4 starters back off of a 31 win year. Last years team didn't lose their exhibition game against a D-2 school. Last years team was much more talented. Talent makes up for a ton of stuff, including some bad coaching.

Truth is, none of us have an effing clue what this season is going to be like. I honestly think our win total is in a 10 game window, if not more.

In a way, I don't have an issue with it, in an isolated situation. Been around a long time, seen a lot of stuff, both good and bad. Part of being an actual fanatic. The program will endure.

All that other stuff about the deeper meaning for Pastner, the future, etc. is out of our control anyway. I'll just watch the next game, and hope we win. I'll take that half court shot to win, too, lol.

And more talented? I don't know yet. I would say positions 3,4 and 5 are more talented this year for those positions.
