I'm sure Syracuse would love to be the team that eliminates Pitt from bowl eligibility. Win or lose, the Panthers' chances for a bowl are slim with Miami next week.

Agreed...I will know within 15 mins if Shafer can get these guys to play hard today. Shafer needs to finish strong to stay out of the serious hot seat speculation next summer.

Both teams absolutely stink. Neither team is going to a bowl. Pitt should win the game.

RE: Pitt vs. Syracuse
The attendance this year is worse than I've ever seen it. It just looks absolutely awful on TV. The yellow seats definitely hurt the eyes.

I don't really blame the fans, though. There are plenty of entertainment options in Pittsburgh and this team is not very good right now. In fact, just when you think they may be good they rip your heart out with a loss or string of losses.

I'm glad we won today, and still hold out hope that we can snatch one away from Miami next week. I won't hold my breath, though (or I'd end up dead AND Pitt would lose anyway).

Pitt has had serious struggles since that 3-0 start but they at least keep bowl hopes alive for another week.

The only thing uglier than that crowd of that weather was Syracuse's heinous uniforms. What the hell have they done?! Those unis are an embarrassment.

FIFY...time for Cuse to get P5 level coaching in there...enough of this "hardnosed sh!t, when you coach like a pu$$y"...down 20 mid 4thQ...you punt on 4th and a yard at midfield? Really?

Cuse's defense is decent...good enough to support a Top 35 team...the offense and special teams are putrid.
