Yes, it's true. Attendance was announced at a little over 1,000 so there were empty seats.

That means a lot of folks missed a very entertaining basketball game. It wasn't Duke v Kentucky, but it was more compelling for a Rice fan. These kids show a lot of hustle and grit. Their game will become more polished as we go forward and gameplay becomes second nature. You'll know Rice MBB is getting good when Coach sits on the bench more than he stands on the sideline.

I think you may have to super glue his butt to the chair to keep Coach from standing during the game (and nail the chair to the floor!).

I agree that 1) those not there on Wednesday evening missed a fun game to watch and 2) these kids are going to get better, sooner rather than later.
