Please be sure to get down 3 scores to GT early. You know -- see if Jameis can keep his streak of comebacks going and all. Against a team that holds the clock a bit better.

Nothing against Duke, but I feel way more excited to be playing Georgia Tech....

I really hope Georgia Tech beats Georgia too!

RE: Congratulations Yellow Jackets
If GT can get into the top 10 and FSU can stay in the top 10, a GT victory in the ACC CG might only cost the ACC $2M - assuming GT goes to the Orange and FSU goes to the Peach or Cotton as an at-large. That's the difference between a playoff spot ($6M) and a New Year's Six spot ($4M).

Isn't your defense kind of meh? Looks like the 10th best (3rd worst) defense we will have played this year, per F/+ rankings.

On the flip side, are you saying if FSU gets up early that a comeback will be difficult?

Meh is kind to their early season performance. The DL was destroyed in the offseason through transfers and the ineligibility of two probable starters. However, it isn't all bad. PJ Davis and DJ White and K. Freeman look like legit performers on defense. Gotsis is pretty good too but his game is quiet and largely unnoticed. (If only Whitehead and Hunt-Days were eligible we might be getting somewhere!) Ted Roof said they were going to play base 4-3 all the damn time until they learned how to play it. It took most of the season but it is starting to take hold. I think Jameis will be able to pass for a gajillion if he gets time, but I think he'll also get baited into some bad choices. But on the flip side, I don't see FSU stopping the option either what with their meh rush defense.

If FSU goes down 3 scores in the first half like they have all season, they might not get the ball back enough times to retake the lead. GT can make 8 and 9 minutes of game clock vanish PER DRIVE.

We haven't gone down three scores all season though. But you're saying if FSU gets out to an early lead it's over?

GT thrives on being different. If you are disciplined enough for their offense you can win easily.

I distinctly remember watching my Cards go up 21-0 over FSU in person before the Noles came storming back to win.

You were down 17 points to NC State at the end of the first quarter.
