Just a reminder that the redshirt sophomore from Willis will be competing in the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Terre Haute. The women's race will begin at 11:00 a.m., CST.

There will be a maximum of 255 runners in the competition. If she is close to 100% for the race, I would not rule out a finish somewhere between 40th and 60th.

What constitutes All-American status?

Top 40 without reference to citizenship.

Or, 2,500 posts on the Parliament?

How many regionals were there ... and which were the strongest/weakest? Was Fayetteville one of the weaker ones, since finishing 5th there might translate to only 40th-60th at best at Terre Haute?

There are 9 regionals. The South Central Region is one of the weaker regions.

That's too easy for most of us. 5 posts by the actual athlete is probably enough though.

Good luck to her. Is there a chance she won't be 100 pct?

I did not mean to imply that there is anything wrong. It's just that one never knows what kind of day one is going to have until the race begins.

Although watching cross-country on television or the internet can be frustrating (the cameras and commentators tend to follow the lead group only), you can watch it by linking HERE.

Great season for Cali. 47th place is a very good finish, just missing All-American by 7 places. I'll review the finishers to see how she finished among Americans.

If you get a chance, could you post a link to the race results for all runners?

Based on the number in the field, 47 is a good finish.

I can't imagine what the start of the race might look like.

I was at the OSU Jamboree last year (actually the last 3 years). It got delayed by rain, and because meets are chip timed, they decided to combine several of the high school races (classifications).

The first 300 yards are a madhouse.

I would say that she wasn't totally at her best. She was 6th among South Central runners, behind 2 Baylor runners, 2 from Texas A&M, and 1 from Arkansas.

EDIT: there was a big group in front of Cali that fell early on in the race. As a result, she had to slow way down in order to get around. She kept passing runners to the end, and finished 47th.

I don't know how to paste a link using my phone. Just go to http://www.branchsportstech.com and navigate to the results.
