OK, so correct me if I'm wrong. Seems like the Rockets play good defense, but got a little lackadaisical on offense early in the 2nd half?

Inma is just a heck of an asset, as a player and as a coach. Harris--pretty impressive, huh?

Free throws seal the deal for the Rockets' victory 64-58

"little lackadaisical" in polite company; in real terms sucky offensive skills in the first half and not a whole better in the second half. Shooting was just 31%. Rebounding and free throw shooting were the positives. The Rockets bigs kept falling down on the defensive end. Having trouble standing up is a major problem.

We looked poor. The Bonnies were beggars on the streets of Toledo. Good win because it's a win. Don't expect St. Bonaventure to win more than 3 games in the A-10.

We must have watched different games. I saw a bunch of gifted athletes in the arena trying to remember and execute a multitude of plays running in a feedback loop in their heads. By the game's end, there was a team of young players, on the same track and only dedicated to the concept of a team, a Toledo, win.

They beat Canisius by about 20.

and for all those die hard UT Womens Bball fans, raise your hand or your cursor for those who think this team will be alot better by the end of December. I do, I do, I do!!!!!! What the heck, how many new players and combination, along with A NEW OFFENSE are they trying to implement. This isn't a junior and senior laden team, running the same offense thats played together for 3-4 years.

RE: Bonnies vs Lady Rockets
I'm willing to be patient for another season.

The football program has, thus far, disappointed me on the whole. Having the "best" recruiting classes in the MAC 3 years in a row with not even a West Division championship (so far) to show for it doesn't square. WMU had the "best" recuiting class for this season, and there's no question how much that team improved; they're also on track, by several accounts, to have the "best" class again this Spring.

The men's bball team has come from the deepest parts of a landfill, and has stepped up its recruiting & started to see results. That program was in far worse shape than football was, but has improved more & more quickly, imo. Thus, I generally have more positive feelings about that program.

As for the Lady Rockets, was glad to hear that they pulled out a win yesterday. My feelings about that progam are somewhat of a fond sadness, remembering what used to be not all that long ago, balanced by a realization that, for several years at least, the recruiting had not been quite at the same level as either football or men's bball, so to expect them to be challenging for, if not winning the MAC, is unfair. I do think the recruiting lately has improved, and hope that this transfers into sucess on the court. If this season's squad can finish above .500 again, both overall and in the MAC, then I think it will become "fair" to expect that this program will challenge for the MAC come the 2015-16 season.

They won 24 games last year. Returning are their top two players and most of their starting line up. The only home game they lost last season was to our Lady Rocket.

They won 24 games last year. Return their top two players and the rest of their starting line up. Hope you didn't bet anyone on only winning three games for them.

They wont be a .500 team or have a top 150 rpi. Ill take that bet.
