I gotta give some mad props to my boyee 10man for putting RebelKev in his place.

Kev, have you seen a football poll before? There's two major polls, the AP and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. Perhaps you should quit monkeying around with Bush and co. and actually follow some football you LSU fan you! 03-lol

As for all of you knowing how to spell Louisiana, I guess eveyone but WryWord knows how...right. I guess next you'll tell me that "Losianna" was a typo..huh. Sorry, not buying that. Losianna is too far off from Louisiana for me to believe that one.

Regardless of the bickering, I still hope you guys kill OSU in your bowl game. Furthermore,(and I really mean this) I hope Ole Miss has success in their future. I've been taught to hate Ole Miss, but I oddly found myself rejoicing inside at your success this season. Hey, Coullion, I know it's hard to get to school every day in Losiana (and I spelled it that way ON PURPOSE!) what with your pirogues springing a leak, alligators eating your teachers and whatnot, so you might have been absent on Pun Day. Here's a refresher course:

pun \'p*n\ n [perh. fr. It puntiglio fine point, quibble - more at
PUNCTILIO] : the humorous use of a word in such a way as to suggest different meanings or applications or of words having the same or nearly
the same sound but different meanings
2. pun vi or punned; or pun.ning : to make puns

Unless you relish the idea of being an unarmed man in a battle of wits, do not engage Wryword again. Trust me on this. Imagine a wet noodle wrapped 50 times around a chopstick. That would be you. And, you will find out, Wryword has friends-- loyal, literate ones, at that. (Thanks, NPR!)

Now, Boudreaux, why don't you go tend to your muskrat hides and trout (sp?) lines. (I really don't care whether I spelled that right. It doesn't come up in my line of work.)

Right On DP!

The word you were looking for is trotline.

Long fishing line: a long fishing line with shorter baited lines attached, used in streams or near the shore.

Boudreaux probably uses empty 2 liter Coca-Cola bottles to mark his lines. This is sometimes called jug fishing. Whatever Boudreaux, get to it! 03-lol

Right you are. I have my own personal ax to grind with their fans, when one of them tried to start some sh--- with me when I was leaving their stadium some years ago after a game. I never saw such a bunch of human junk. I even had an eight or year old boy stand up to say to me how much he hated Ole Miss. Unbelievable.

I like a rivalry as much as anyone, but I just don't see the point of the boorish behavior I am always seeing with LSU fans.

Let the SEC reign over all conferences......lets go out and dominate our bowls!!!
I agree that all schools have their problem fans. I agree that the SEC needs to and should prevail in all the bowls it is in.

I've seen childish posts but this takes the cake. I refuse to try to reason with a half-wit. I'll just get in my "pirogue" and paddle away.

P.S.- The only way I'd be unarmed in a battle with you is if the weapon of choice was ignorance.
In which case you would defeat everyone on this board 03-wink

Umm, wow! How does it feel down there in Minorityville, Kev? Better stick to politics! :stupid: :stupid: They're actually no.1.
Sorry 10,call me stupid all you want, but USC was 11-1 at the time, LSU and OU were 12-1. Add the fact that your Trojans played 2, that's TWO, ranked teams this season, Auburn(6) and WASH STATE(6), they didn't deserve to be #2. Michigan would kick their asses.

BTW,I meant #2 when they WERE #2.......pay attention.

Again Kev, you are entitled to your opinion, but I just can't take you serious when you make a statement like, "BOTH teams would cream USC". You obviously haven't watched USC play AT ALL this season. I have, in fact, I have been to see them in person this year as well as watching them on tv another several games. They are very worthy of their #1 ranking and I think after they beat Michigan they will be given what's coming to them, a share of the national crown with Oklahoma.

As for their schedule, you can't honestly tell me that LSU had a tougher OOC schedule than did USC. LSU, outside of the SEC, scheduled LaTech, LaMon, Arizona, and a Div I-AA team Western Illinois. Meanwhile, the Trojans had Notre Dame, BYU, Hawaii, and Auburn on their plate. Regardless of how all of these teams all fared this year, USC's sked is far more more impressive than LSU's.

Your argument seems to be that because the Pac10 doesn't have a championship game and the SEC and Big 12 do, that gave Oklahoma and LSU a one game better record than USC, 12-1 as opposed to 11-1? I don't get that. In fact, if you'll remember Oklahoma just lost their championship game so I don't understand where that argument has any weight.
Some people want to talk about the USC loss to Cal. Ok, given it was an embarrassing loss at the time, but where did Cal's season wind up? They are playing VaTech in the Insight Bowl in Phoenix, so losing to Cal isn't as bad as some are making it out to be. Also, it took Cal a FG miss by USC and OT to beat the Trojans by a whopping 3 points, much like our game with LSU minus the OT.

Kev, the majority of the voters can't be wrong in putting USC #1 or #2 respectively. Even most LSU fans say that USC belongs in the Sugar Bowl. I even heard a former UCLA player, which UCLA is USC's hated cross-town rival, say that as much as he hates USC they deserve a chance at the NC. But don't take our word for it, just sit back and finally watch USC for a change this season. Watch them in the Rose bowl destroy Michigan, and watch the voters give them a share of the national title, then tell me how much they don't deserve it. Because at that point, I won't care about any naysayers' opinions. I will be too busy purchasing my USC National Champions shirts and hats. :D

The fact that you call all LSU fans, "********" and "genetic throwaways" without even knowing most of us, reflects on what kind of a person you are. 03-wink
I can read your posts and know what kind of person you are...

Anybody that has been around here for any length of time knows that I like LSU "behind" Ole Miss but it is the LSU fan that come on here telling us about how you have "dominated" us, etc. etc. that make it difficult for me to be for a team that I usually pull for against anyone else.

Go blow smoke up some of the other obnoxious LSU fan's butts. Sit around and tell each other how ya'll are no. 1 in recruiting and how wonderful St. Sabin is. (If you are here just to put Ole Miss down, don't let the door hit you in the as$ on the way out the door!)

I agree- about some of our fans, but I don't understand how you can say that about our players..... they've impressed a lot of other teams with their attitudes (such as Florida), and they didn't bring any trash talk with them when we beat the Rebs. The fans, on the other hand.... crazy. I'm still glad we get to stay in Louisiana for the NC, though.

Yep, too bad you won't win it, though. And even if you do pull off a miracle against the pissed off Sooners, then you will get to share the title with another pissed off bunch of Trojans.

Wow, sounds like you need to just go ahead and change your avatar permanently to an LSpuke logo. While you're at it, go ahead and change your name to TigerKev or LSUKev, or something to that effect. :cough:bandwagon:cough: 03-razz

As for your proposal, I might be game for it, however, I'm not quite sure about your wager. If you are referring to USC as "Zero U", then there is the possibility that both could win, therefore, the wager would be null.
If you are referring to Oklahoma as "Zero U", then that is different....please specify.
