RE: BYU game thread
Can't rebound, and we look like a SWAC team on offense, jacking up shots and missing everything.

RE: BYU game thread
Our shooting is awful. We are being totally intimidated, and minus 6 on the boards. We are hitting FTs, or it would be worse.

If Haws heats up in the second half, this could get ugly in a hurry.

Just jack up more of them. You can't hit them if you don't shoot them. My oh know, that passing up a good shot for a better shot is so old school.

It is obvious we need to change something. Plan A ain't working very well (although we are closer than I expected us to be).

This is pathetic. I'm about to turn it off. I may be done until Shields is gone.

One nice thing- this is the sharpest picture I've ever seen on an internet broadcast.
I've only seen the second half. Big surprise, BYU is better than us. We also are having an awful shooting night in the biggest arena and biggest crowd we'll see all year. This team will be fine playing against similar competition.

Little bit of a run. At least we are not completely folding.

I'm quite impressed. Especially with Roger Woods and what he is going to do against Sun Belt competition.

Not so impressed after a 10 run by BYU breaks it open.

RE: BYU game thread
I was stupid to believe that we would be any good after losing Neighbour and fielding a team shorter than a lot of high school teams, populated by guys who couldn't even break 5 ppg in junior college and coached by a guy who has a history of disappointing. I don't even really like to tell people I follow the Trojans. Although upon reflection they're so irrelevant now they probably wouldn't even know we completely and utterly SUCK.

Any bright spots?
Any bright spots last night. Well, not many.

However, Roger Woods looks to be the real deal. 19 points and 9 rebounds in 19 minutes. Throw in a block and a steal for good measure. He is a keeper.

James Reid's shooting has been as advertised. He is 5 for 11 from the arc for the season.

Maurice Hill actually had a pretty good game. 6 points and 4 rebounds in 16 minutes PT. Made his only 3.

Interesting. Our 2 leading scorers were new guys. We were all focused on what we had coming back. I still think we had talent coming back, so the fact that 2 new guys are "keepers" makes me quite optimistic about the season.

The top three picks in the Belt all got beat in the last couple of days, even GaState. We have lots of company.
