Kent State at Buffalo game, hearing it's cancelled
Argh. That's too bad if true since Kent St. made an 11 hour trek to get there...

I'd be surprised as UB still has(d) a chance at six wins and bowl eligibility.

Couldn't the game be played tomorrow during the day?

Yeah, it's hard to believe UB would want to cancel given they could get to bowl eligibility. If Kent is indeed already there, it's kind of unfathomable the game won't be played within the next few days.

I thought UB needed seven wins since two of their wins were against FCS competition. if so, they are already ineligible.

It's official. No makeup date set. KSU already plays next Tuesday so it's hard to imagine when it could be played.

Let's bring in Jim Cantore! apparently the weather tonight and Thursday is deteriorating. Seems like round 2 will affect the northern suburbs more than round 1 did. If they're not playing this evening...seems unlikely they'd play on Thursday.

Terrible. Thousands and thousands of people forced to change plans at the last minute.

Nah, they were going to stay home, anyway, and have some hot cocoa and watch some MACtion from Toledo. 03-lmfao

BTW, GREAT point about UB having two FCS wins and needing 7 Ws for both eligibility.

It's the MAC...they could decide the game with a coin flip and no one would really care

And between the lost revenue from parking and concessions U Buffalo stands to lose something like 15-25 dollars.

This could be the lowest attended Akron-KSU game in the last decade, at least. The snow bowl on Thanksgiving Day morning in 2005 comes to mind. You can usually book 20-25k for this game every year, but not the day after T-Day.

I was going to go to the game on Tuesday, but now I can't attend. I suspect it's the same for most people that made plans. Especially rough for out-of-towners who wanted to come in to watch the rivalry game.

Also, students will be home for Thanksgiving now.

RE: Kent State at Buffalo game, hearing it's cancelled
I'm sure most people already have plans for Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving, especially those who were planning to make the trip on Tuesday to the game. I'm going to be driving back to Ohio from Chicago about game time and won't even be able to listen unless I can convince my car to let me stream bluetooth iHeart from my phone. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't.

The Kent St UB game should have been moved to the day after the MACC. There is zero reason to penalize the Kent St Akron fanbases of their rivalry on national TV for this much worse slot.
