Maybe he'll blossom but right now.....nope

He'll be fine once he settles down. Same with Kedren once he gets in shape.

Shaq? Are we referring to him as a leader now?

This is getting more and more Tarik-esque.

Yep. Shaq is the official scapegoat for the season.

Shaq is playing the wrong sport. It was alot more fun watching him run over people and knock them to the floor as a 260 lb. freshman than get dunked on by a guard as a 230 lb. junior.

Shaq is unquestionably a better player at 23-240 than at 260. That's crazy.

Pastner said he can't get in shape. Like getting a flu shot or wearing a seat belt.

I wonder if Akujobi agrees. But it does bring up a question:

Why didn't these guys get flu shots over the summer? Flu season started in full force yesterday.

He'll be flying all around the court. But when the guards can barely get the ball up the court let alone pass to the post, it's hard to do.

He's a energy/motor guy. You have to get him started first.

He scored the 1st basket yesterday. Then, committed 2 fouls and a couple of turnovers

He still needs more touches going forward. I didn't see the ball go in the post the 2nd half.
Obviously the fouls is what hurt him.

RE: Magee
Player management for a team you put together is so hard? If he was just gonna ship Magee off why would he waste 1-2 years of his college eligibility? Magee had GREAT offers.

It's not like these guys are 0-1 star players that we're developing. These guys could definitely play somewhere.

Joshes 2nd season we had 8 new players recuited. Which was fine. Had to rebuild... Last season we had 8, 2 of which didn't play and 3 that didn't play enough. So this season we have 10 new additions that are new or didn't play last season.

Next season we'll have 2 or 3 which is fine.

We have got to stop having such big turnover. Which should be that way moving forward.

As of now.

1. Pookie JR (Top 100)
2. Markel RS So ( Top 50 before injury, with injury who knows)
3. Kedren SR (13+ PPG, 3+ APG, 3+ RPG @ Vandy)
4. Magee SO (Top 70)
5. Woodson SR (Top 35 Juco)
6. Hawkins SR (Top 25 Juco)
7. King JR (Top 40)
8. Iverson JR (Top 40)
9. Burrell SR (Top 5 Juco)
10. K. Lawson FR (Top 50)
11.. D. Lawson FR (Top 10-15)
12.Nichols JR (Top 15)
13. Shaq SR (Top 40)
14. Randall Broddie FR (Top 50)
15. Jordan Manse
16. D'Marnier Cunningham

We have got to find a PG. Somewhere in all that talent listed above there is a guy who can lead the team. Then we need to find a suitable back up.

If we're in for a long season we might as well make the most of it. If Pookie is scared fix it, if Kedren is out of shape fix it, if players are rusty because thye haven't played in 2 years fix it. If guys can't shoot make them shoot 500 three pointers a day with a hand in their face. If we're chalking this up to a rebuilding season and we're forced to accept it at least make the most of it...
