RE: HARE IS ONE TOUGH MOTHER!
Ohio will be tough next year. Really need Hare to work his tail off in the off season. Love to see him add some weight and work on throwing more.

I expect the Bobcats to come to DeKalb next year.

RE: HARE IS ONE TOUGH MOTHER!
Could some of Hare's accuracy problems stem from the fact that he was splitting practice time with the other starters, with 2 other QBs all the way up to and including games this season?

He certainly is tough. I don't know how he gets up from some of those hits and goes to the next play like nothing happened.

Yes. It's also possible he'll continue to improve with reps (see: Harnish, Chandler). He's been much more accurate since putting on the gloves. It'll be interesting to see if he continues to wear them even when it's not cold outside.

I would think he would if he's gotten used to them.

Jim McMahon wore gloves for the 2 playoff games at Soldier Field in '85 and then wore them again in the controlled environment of the Superdome for the Super Bowl because he didn't want to change what he'd gotten used to.

I've noticed this as well. I was going to post about it but I forgot. This seems to show even more with quick screens to the outside. Ever since he's been wearing gloves his throws on screen passes have been darts, right on the money so the receiver has plenty of time to do his thing and make a play.

Teddy Bridgewater and Nate Davis always wore gloves too. Hopefully we make it to Detroit and find the answer to this question.

He'll still throw some duds, too. He one hopped Ducee last night on a simple out route, but it seems much more infrequent than it did earlier in the season. The deep balls to Beebe and Brown weren't completed, but he gave them chances to make plays on the ball unlike earlier in the year when he was overthrowing everyone.

He's tough but he needs to get down earlier so he doesn't take a pounding and does not fumble.

RE: HARE IS ONE TOUGH MOTHER!
I don't know about him being significantly more accurate lately. He airmailed a WR screen yesterday and made some other pretty bad throws. Of course he also threw a few bullets into some tight windows. It's kind of hard to figure out. It would be interesting to see him play indoors. He can't be any worse than this BGSU qb...Guy has missed wide open wrs all night lobg

Hare seems to have a tremendous upside. Does NIU have a great QB coach that can help him achieve it? We might, and I hope that we do, I just don't know the answer to the question.

Well Cole did a pretty decent job developing that Lynch guy.

Did Cole develop Lynch to his full potential or was Lynch just a freak of nature and an outstanding athelete? Perhaps I am underestimating Cole but I have not been impressed with him. Everything about the offense seemed so much better when Carey was the offensive coordinator.

Of course this is also a function of the players they have to work with. Perhaps Akeem is getting healthy at just the right time and things will continue to look better. I thought that they looked a little better in the Ohio game.

Lynch had one offer coming out of high school. He didn't just show up on campus and be as good as he was. Come on now.

I think Zebrowski had a big impact too. I remember chandler saying how much his game improved once Zebrowski came on board as the QB coach. I'm sure he helped mold JL quite a bit too.

He also ran an offense in high school that had him pass less than ten times a game. So yeah, he needed development.
