Yes, several times.

When was the last one? Have they ever won a bowl?

Haha! Why only go back 5 years? Last time they were relevant randy moss was stomping around the MAC.

Very good point. Their fans crack me up. Act like they are an unstoppable force. Yet NIU has a better record than them. Morons.

Such hostility. WMU is 7-3 with 2 games yet to be played. We were 1-11 last year. Fans are excited.

Granted, that doesn't excuse some of the trolling going on by WMU posters on multiple boards.

I honestly think WMU is going to lose Sat to CMU just bc CMU is at home. Close game but CMU comes out with a W.

Quote:Your cockyness about the NIU game is hilarious, You act like your team is so damn dominant.

NOT at all -- let me make it more clear why @CMU is MUCH more dangerous than NIU at home, NIU in a re-loading year:

- WMU has only won a couple times @CMU since the 70s.
- WMU was ranked #26, about to break the T25, and just needed a win over a pathetic @CMU team in the year 2000. We beat Iowa. We already won the MAC West. But guess what? We then LOST to a BAD CMU team @CMU. They controlled us.
- Our star RB is gimpy right now after our game on Sat. If we had a bye, I wouldn't be too afraid about the next weekend. CMU's star is now kinda healthy. This is their last game. They're going to sacrifice virgins, even Rawl's non-100% legs to beat us.

I'm actually going to literally bet ON CMU (win win situation; I'd pay $100 for WMU to beat @CMU any day).

NIU will be no cake-walk, no. But @CMU for WMU? A much harder game, especially given the circumstances. WMU should be more afraid of @CMU than NIU at home for the finale. NIU has not showed anything to fear that would trump that very big @CMU game that Historically has WMU loss all over it, with WMU's star RB recently gimpy.

You guys are throwing ridiculous comparisons out there so I'll join in on the fun.

Niu beat NW

NW beat ND

Therefore it's obvious that NIU > ND

And since ND beat Purdue and Purdue beat WMU that means NIU > WMU.

That makes perfect sense. NIU is still 30-31 at home, they have not lost a game at home since Carter was in office, but CMU would be a tougher gmae at home? NIU has one thing on their side that you neglected to realize, STATS. They rarely lose at home, ever.... Keep digging, the crap you are looking for is deeper....

RE: Welcome Boat Rowing Nation
it's not really that complicated and its really dumb to try to argue who's better. They are both good teams and both of them have a legitimate shot at winning the Mac West. It will just boil down to who plays a better game on Black Friday in the armpit of Michigan otherwise known as Kalamazoo.

To be fair, Toledo was also running on empty when it came to QBs. Not that Woodside is that great, though (but solid). If Toledo didn't start Julian and have to switch to their better 4th stringer, things very well could have been different.

In our game, the cold-arse rain held both us and Toledo to low points. And so did our kicker (CRYING).

Do WMU fans not realize they still have to hope Toledo loses tomorrow and they still have to beat CMU for this game to mean anything to them?

With the win tonight NIU is tied with Oregon with the most wins in CFB since 2010. They may not win pretty, but they win. And like 7 stated, this game may mean nothing to WMU unless a few things go their way.

That is impressive. NIU has had a nice run these last few years.

NIU plays *at* WMU next weekend.

Yes, NIU rarely loses at home. Last two losses? Oh, this "petty" team named CMU.

WMU rarely ever wins @CMU. And WMU is not in position with their star gimpy going in, while CMU's RB Star is going to be in the ballpark range of 100%.

If you also look at the stats, NIU is no threat to Dominate and to fear above all others -- and, looking on the TV -- no they're not to any MAC team who would be the hottest out there.

NIU is in no position to scoff at the concept that WMU should fear THEM, in their rebuilding year, finding ways to win against competition to a lesser degree than WMU, than WMU facing a holy hell hole @CMU where WMU loses -- against a team that thumped NIU, too.

CMU's dangerous and can play well (@NIU, @Purdue) but they can also play "blah". Guess what happens when WMU goes to CMU? Yeah, the a-hole CMU comes out. WMU has a lot more to fear there.

But don't worry. WMU by no means, at all, is going to think of NIU as some mediocre team in the final game of the regular season. Oh, PJ's going to fire them up, regardless of how the @CMU game ends up.

NIU has won something like 20 out of 21 road games too. Only loss was to Arkansas.
