RE: The Zone
It was Mike Royer, but cut him some slack. He's a sports fan and certainly is familiar with Marshall. It was probably a teleprompter thing and he just misspoke.

RE: The Zone
Yep, why should we expect our local tv people to know our opponents when they don't know Alabama's or Auburn's opponent either?

Well, not everybody has the brand recognition of Samford and Western Carolina.

I agree with Scarbo, it is "almost criminal".

Dare I ask who it was?

I would guess either Turdbaum or that arrogant ******* Jay Barker!

It was Mike Royer of NBC 13.

Are you sure? I thought it was Speegle on 33/40. I saw it, but I can't remember for sure.

Speegle might have too but I watched when Royer did. Because I remember laughing and thinking about Mars Hill, which was a high school rival of my alma mater.

That little toupee'-wearing, sawed off little runt, he's one reason I cannot stand NBC-13! I have remote controls in my house taller than that bast***!

I'm sure he misspoke. Pretty sure he's a UAB fan (at least part-time). I saw Royer last year at the Slick Pig before we played MTSU (basketball). He also may have gone to FAU football game this year, because he was also on the same flight I was leaving out of Birmingham.

Mike Royer is a native of Indiana so he probably is a basketball fan.

RE: The Zone
I remember when Mike came to visit an afternoon practice of ours (first Blazer Marching band). He climbed up in the tower thingy with his shades on to watch the show.

Remember when there used to be a caller to the local Finebaum show that always repeated his rumor that Mike Royer was having sexual relations (he put it more crudely) with his female coanchor?

Can't say that I do...This is my first time hearing of this, I do remember rumors about a certain weatherwoman on WBRC from back in the day, but, can't say there was any confirmation about those, either....Made me 03-pukem when they "bounced" Gene Lively for this troll...Should be a can "Raid" with this cockroach's name on it!

Pat Gray was the bomb!

They will always be known as Mars Hall now for me.

He knows an injustice when he sees it. Our Governor doesn't.
