The more "large" schools that join, the less room for small schools like the UP schools in D-1. Remember, those are D-II budgets playing D-1.

I get a laugh at the reporters claiming Arizona's weather will make recruiting easy for them. Sorry, but hockey players are well known for playing in some of the most craptacular places on earth (NoDak has a NHL caliber arena in the middle of Hoth) if it gives them a chance to advance their career.

Exactly, I totally concur. It's all about advancing your career and winning. That's why their club team is so good and filled with D-1 flunkies. Why sit the D-1 bench when you can be a club bad a55 and slay major league trim?

Seemed to be working out ok for a D-III budget school like Union, who also competes with out any athletic scholarships

There is plenting of room for hockey expansion out west and it won't hurt schools in the UP, other than "maybe" competing for some recruits.

The girls that weather brings there could help recruiting.

Glad I could break that code for you.

Charmed, I think Jeff Cox is taking your position:

Why Arizona State could be bad for college hockey

I'm sure he didn't need it explained to him.

Aren't you getting sued?
