Toledo is playing #15 VCU right now on ESPNU...great game thus far. UT returns 8 of 10 rotation players from last season's 27 win season, they are a solid mid major in BB now giving VCU some trouble with UT being up 44-39 right before the half.

(16)San Diego St beat (25) Utah 53-49. It was 18-17 at half and they only had about 34 with 5 minutes remaining. That one might get ugly or beautiful for those defensive lovers. Polee was all over the court, not gracefully but..all over.

While not good for the conference, Memphis and SMU looked very beatable in their losses.

I love it.

Nebraska, SDSU, VCU and NC State look to be quality opponents this year. Mick and Co. will have a chance to build a nice resume if they can get the team clicking on all cylinders. SOS and RPI shouldn't be a big deal this year.
