I just heard today no one has ever shot a 59 on the Europeon Tour. I suppose this doesn't count since it wasn't an actual tour event but still pretty impressive.

It actually doesn't count because of something to do with the favorable lies because of the condition of the course.

John finished T50th when he needed to be in the Top 25. Based on what I can see about the European Tour, his 120th place in the Race to Dubai means he should be able to play in 10-15 lesser tournaments next year and he is fully qualified for the European Challenge Tour (their equivalent to the Web.com tour, but with about 1/2 to 1/3 the payouts).

It'll be interesting to see what he does next year.

In other Kent golf news, neither Taylor Pendrith or Mackenzie Hughes advanced from the 2nd round of Q School. Ryan Yip is slated for a few more Asian Tour tournaments and has expressed hopes of getting his World Golf Ranking high enough to play on the Canadian Olympic team and helped his cause by winning an Asian Development Tour event in September.
