Snow Day
In my five years at WMU (2003-2008), I didn't get a single snow day. Granted that was during Judy Bailey's reign, and we never even had a chance considering her prior tenure was in Marquette. 03-weeping

I am just in disbelief at how easily WMU closes down now. I know last year was a rough winter, but they had something like 5+ snow days. That's practically unheard of for university's to close down that much in one year. I'm even a little surprised they closed today to be honest. It's rough out there... but I wouldn't have guessed it was bad enough to close down WMU. These kids have it easy nowadays. 03-phew

RE: Snow Day
We had 3 last year, and those were days of 10+ inches of snow and -30 degree wind chills. There was another day we should have had one but didn't because they didn't want to give a 4th (UofM closed down for the first time in like 30 years that day).

Only 3 last year? Are you sure? Felt like more than that... I thought there was 3 in one week alone.

Are you sure? I was there those same years and I'm 95% sure we had at least one closure for snow...

I remember at least one, maybe two during that same time frame.

I was there 2005-2009. We had at least 2 snow days. I know for a fact, one was the Monday after the Super Bowl in 2007 (Colts beat the Bears). Due to freezing temps.

We started the semester off with 2 right away and had one later on as well, but that's it.

Same thing happened to us in 93 but it was two days off because of temps and no heat. Was happy my future wife was living in Whitehall apartments but we did spend one night with a little plug in heater at my place. Had to keep each other warm which was fun.
