How does ECU @ Tulsa get the night slot over what should be touted as the biggest rivalry our conference has?

I think the league needs to revisit the date for some of these games that could be big traditional rivalry games but need to be grown.
Have them at the start of the year when the season is fresh and everyone still pumped even if their team eventually flops.

A UCF vs USF in week 1 or 2 would be a 55-60k seat event yearly. At the end of the season if one team sucks like we are this year you are talking about 30-35k. If both suck even less.

What has me scratching my head is SMU. They have had every game so far broadcast on national TV (except @ northern TX which was a FOX regional). If the last game @ UCONN gets picked up, they will have missed ESPN3 completely...not bad for an 0-for team.

ETA: It looks like CBSSN can pick up one more. The contract calls for 13-15 and they've selected 14 to date. They've picked up SMU 5 times...might as well go for the UCONN game and make it 6. ABC, ESPN, 2, and U have scheduled 27 out of 28 games...unless the 28 number includes the champ game which won't start until next year. If that is the case, then the min. requirement has been fulfilled. Houston/Cincinnati is still TBA.

Better than 11 am after Thanksgiving, which is what we get for SMU @ Houston. There should be a law against starting football before noon...

ESPN2 and Noon is better than 8:30 on the U if you ask me.

Lots of men will be home watching TV while worrying about how much money their wives are spending.

And we all know football is a great distractor.

By 8 PM, the husbands are too busy arguing or making up to their wives to watch football.

Ah, the single life. Money is my own and I can watch football whenever!
