I agree. I do not want to offend anyone by not mentioning their team, but MT, WKU, ODU and La Tech have a great history in WBB and there is no reason that they can not continue to be successful.

Very true. History is there and so is the recent success. I hope other strong WBB programs follow in the footsteps of MT and WKU (the two I know best) in terms of getting crowds and to the NCAAs. For our home opener we had just under 4k for a 5 point win over Miami.

UTEP beat Northern Arizona last night 82-58. I am not sure if this was in the thread earlier but UTEP lost at SMU 63-59 on Sunday. UTEP was out rebounded against SMU by 51-32 margin. Next up for the UTEP women is a tournament in Puerto Vallarta where they will play Kansas St., LSU and Santa Clara.

The Lady Raiders gave away a golden opportunity with some abysmal FG shooting and piss poor FT shooting.

Yep....I doubt we play worse in any game the rest of the year. First half shooting was awful; not even close to going in awful. To their credit, the ladies kept fighting and actually got to within 3 points late in the second half. Just couldn't get enough stops on defense down the stretch.

And today, a certain 6-4 inside presence rejoins the team after an early suspension. I think things open up more from outside with an actual scoring threat in the paint.

Yeah, and it keeps Olivia from having to play inside as much, like she did last night when Reuter was in foul trouble. Olivia just didn't fare well amongst the trees.

OJ is not built to be an inside post presence. She scores by making cuts to the basket, not by posting up her defender. The addition of Parker inside will drastically alter the Lady Raider style of play.
