Now there are a few teams I would like to see become annual non-conference opponents. We already play Richmond every year. Wouldn't mind seeing Davidson become one as well.

What I would like to see is the four NC schools playing twice a year by scheduling a non-conference game in seasons when they are only scheduled to play once in league play. What would really be cool is if that could create a doubleheader in Greensboro, but I think it could only be done if UNC and Duke did not play each other (since they always play home and home already).

In my opinion, the way to fix that is either revive the Big Four Tournament in Greensboro or simply the ACC could protect those games by adding one more protected home and home to the schedule.

Not UNC Charlotte?

Davidson is an ancient rival from the early days of college sports in North Carolina. I would like to see that become an annual game just for the history of it. If they played fielded a traditional FCS football team, I would want them as an annual season opener for the same reason.

Playing Charlotte is fine, but I don't feel that we need to play them every year.

I also would't mind doing it with some old Big East teams like Providence, BC, Pitt, Nova, St John's, etc for some good rivalry games.

Even if said top 25ish team was located west of the Rockies?

It's good for recruiting to play a few games a year outside of your region.

True.
