US Bank, Downtown seems logical. Regarding NKU, would it be hard to schedule 2 Mens teams and 2 Womens in the same Arena during the same season?

Plus it's the best arena of the bunch IMO and would be easy to fill.

Only problem would be having NKU's branding all over the court every game, because there's no way they'd replace the floor every game.

Why was Eggs even mentioned? This Univ bends over backwards for that High School.

I just worry about student attendance at NKU . We have enough trouble getting them downtown much less ALL the way across the river . Maybe we can adopt NKU students

Nice summary ..although there seems to be a conflict of info on whether the school begins with an A or ends with an A03-lmfao

Multiple level concourses in new 5/3rd along with increase to 38 restrooms

1,000 premium seats with a 5,000 seat lower bowl
Current approximation of 10.5k seats

Entire 16-17 season will be played at NKU, Cincy Gardens or US Bank Arena during renovation.

Looks like 2 years before 5/3rd can begin

Mick says he tried to contact Jay Wright about playing Villanova but he wanted to play in New Jersey. Mick wanted home and home

Mick doesn’t want to play Dayton and Miami but wants Kansas and Kentucky. I love it

Bohn says Gene Smith told him no on basketball. OSU still refusing to play UC in bball

Bohn says west coast school that begins with an “A” may be scheduled in football

Close to releasing renderings for east concourse of Nippert

40k capacity at Nippert according to Bohn

Downtown. For one year? Downtown.

Absolutely not Cintas.

I'm still interested in how Nippert is going to get tot 40,000. I just doesn't add up (from all I know).

[/i]

That is what an arena has 38 restrooms, a gym does not.

LOL at OSU.

That question has been posed numerous times. Every time I ask the same thing...what is the easiest way to add capacity to a stadium?

There has to be some sort of "standing room only" area. Tuberville on the radio not long ago said 45k...that definitely seemed like a stretch.

Adding 1 seat to every row adds about 1,400 seats . Does that get you there?

I'm surprised at the support for playing at NKU for a year. I can say I'd love it also. Beautiful arena and a hell of a lot easier to get to for me. I figure that is more of a bluff to get a better deal out of US Bank Arena though.

I'd rather play at the Gardens than at NKU. At least it's in Cincinnati. No brainer among those choices to play downtown.

I think NKU makes a lot more sense than US Bank. BOK sits about 9500 for basketball whereas US Bank sits 15-16K. We can fill a 9500 seat arena much easiesr than a 16K arena. Perception is huge in terms of everything UC wants to accomplish so it will look much better on TV to play in front of a packed house instead of a half-packed arena.

As an aside, I wonder if we could get some NKU students to attend our games. I realize they do not draw well for their own home games, but I would think there would be some who would value quality Division 1 basketball (UC/UConn, UC/Memphis, UC/a decent OOC opponent).

I seem to recall on our bench seats we allot more inches per ticket than do p;aces like ohio Stadium or thee other big places. I also seem to recall the reason we did this was a limit on people in the stadium due to fire code reasons, such as the narrow concourses.

Maybe we are squeezing them in tighter in the end zones and upper deck.
