What student is going to spend money for a full priced ticket to get into the Cintas Center so they can cheer against UC? They don't get students tickets for OUR games!

Some people just need to worry and ***** about something. First the floor and now we have people thinking that X students are going to spend their beer money to buy tickets to disrupt a UC game.

Yeah, I've never known fans of one school to show up in any material way for a game of a rival school with whom they are not playing

While I'm not saying they would show up, can you name a situation where a school has played it's home games at the "little brother's" arena on their campus for a full season? It's a foreign situation and Xavier fans and students hate us. It isn't inconceivable that some would want to cause problems.

So we'd use their arena and also have them look like a$$holes nationally if they caused problems. Win-win.

Am I missing something here in regards to potentially playing at Xavier? Wouldn't they get a large cut of all the proceeds from any game played at Cintas? Parking, concessions, ticket sales, other fees for security and staffing. Why would we want to give a big rival program any more cash? I understand it is a great arena but the influx of cash to Xavier's pockets leaves me scratching my head. Heck, to a lesser extent playing at NKU does the same thing, they are a D-I program now. Granted, they're not a big rival but wouldn't playing downtown for a season make the most sense? I'll likely follow UC anywhere but leadership needs to keep this in mind, which is why I'm confused as to why they would suggest it. Tommy T thought this was a lost season as far as having a true home field advantage, move a season to Cintas Center and see what happens.

There is no way in hell they move to Xavier. No way. If they do they know they will piss of a very large chunk of the fan base. Honestly, I don't see where they can go anywhere but US Bank.

I think they will just shut the program down for a year.

Who cares where they play for a year while they spruce up the Shoe.

At least they have options, unlike football.

Tickets for our games AT our actual arena can be had for $4 currently online. I'm sure they could round up a few drunks that have nothing better to do one night than show up and cause a scene.

We will play at US Bank, there is no way we play at Xavier or NKU and I would be surprised if Cincinnati Gardens isn't condemned by the time we would be playing there. If it is still open, we might run into scheduling conflicts with Roller Derby or amateur backyard wrestling.

I don't know what our current deal is for games at US Bank. Maybe this is just posturing to get a better deal? The administration wasn't serious, right?

The Gardens is home to the UC hockey team. Still kicking.

I'm sure plan A and B is USBank, but they were probably posturing yes. They probably do have in the back of their minds that if that fails they may need to at least explore other options. I assume Gardens and NKU would both be options before Cintas would for a number of reasons.
