51-43 halftime

UAB has three players already in double figures - Washington, Mehinti and Madison.

Lawrence with YH has 22 on 6/8 from 3. They have two others with 9 points. Only 4 players for them have scored

It's only Young Harris, but a better outcome so far. Hopefully guys will get some confidence and continue to learn to play together.

Edit: thats not fair to the players. The comeback that they mounted during the exhibition game showed a lot of grit.

If I recall, basketball is always played in cold weather. And occasionally Monday. If you are tired of me beating my dead horse, stop beating your dead horse of how everyone who I thought were UAB fans are going to abandon the school because of one man and his evil plot.

It's probably safe to say it in the middle of a game thread. The eye of Mordor can't look everywhere at once.

Some of that talk is rhetoric directed at the powers at be in an effort to illustrate just how pissed off we are. Some of it is meant to put pressure on. Some of it is blowing off steam, because it's not like we can get face time with the miserable bastards responsible for this happening again.

And some of is the very honest feelings of people who are tired of being disregarded and made second class citizens by those entrusted with caring for the school they love, who are ready to vote with both their feet and their wallet in order to express the depth of their distaste.

It hasn't been all that good the past couple of years either especially vs the 3. Still a young team looking for that rotation that works well together. In the first 2 games, I really didn't see that 1 person to take over the scoring for us & put the game on his shoulders for the win.

La. Tech down by 10 to Temple with 4:14 remaining. Southern Miss losing to USA by 7 at the half. UTSA and UT Pan American are tied 27-27 at the half.

I figured as much. My bitching about it makes it seem more legit then.

UAB shot 54% from field in 1st half. This includes 0-5 from Baxter

Young Harris shooting 46% overall and 9-18 (50%) from the 3.

Good halftime adjustments on Lawrence who went 6-8 from 3 in the first half. So far, in the second, he is 0-1
