You're a pretty smug guy to be a Memphis fan.

last I looked we're 7-3 (4-1) in football, while coming off an NCAA run in basketball...so I have reason to be.

But what does that have to with Memphis being selected to host an NCAA regional?

Moreover, since when is stating FACTS being smug? We didn't make some graphic over getting an NCAA regional...that's a simple fact.

When did everyone get so sensitive around here? Does Memphis being #1 in football bother you guys that much?

That "graphic" took all of 5 mins. I really don't get the point of getting upset over it. We have employees that make graphics after every win and post them online and that is every sport like volleyball, soccer, softball, etc.

Don't get the point over posting about about being tied for #1 in football in a conference that is ranked below the c-usa. Has nothing to do with a graphic that means nothing and took zero effort. Of course we are going to send stuff to the media though and you need graphics.

Pointing out we didn't make one isn't being upset...

Don't get the need to point out anything. We are hosting a regional and we made a 5 min effort graphic for the promotion.

Believe every NCAA site is "hosted" by at least one University (heck, that's how they get free employees to help them with a lot of the responsibilities during those games).

Look at the corner of each NCAA site floor and you usually see a Univ team "logo" which notes host sponsor.

I've been to a ton of NCAA game's over the years in venues across the country and it's not technically correct to say that UCF is hosting the NCAA tournament unless you count ECU hosting the NCAA's in Charlotte. I'm happy for Orlando college basketball fans that it's coming to your city, but not sure if it's a "win" for the AAC as much as it's a win for the NBA and the owner's of the franchise in Orlando. The Citrus Bowl being in Orlando is not a win for the AAC or UCF for the matter, and I'm not sure how this is much different except that UCF fan's get to watch other college teams play in a nearby NBA arena? I'm not being a jerk or nitpicking and will gladly change my mind on the topic if someone can explain how this a win for the league?

Uh, Greenville to Charlotte is like 5 hours. Orlando to Orlando is 0 hours. It's completely incomparable.

Hosting some NCAA tournament games is nice and all so we can have our logo courtside (the other times it was in Orlando it was hosted by Stetson). That's about all we get from it as we won't be playing in any games there.

I'm much more excited about UCF and the Amway Center hosting the 2016 and 2017 AAC basketball tournaments. Especially since our team may actually have a pulse by then.
