had better get their sh!t together, or they're gonna get torched!

7,600? Really? More like 3,000, which speaks volumes about Heeke, Enos, and Tumpkin.

RE: CMU Secondary
I think they got caught peeking ahead to this week's "festivities" CE. Although the opponent also got considerable help from one of the officials. If I'm Heeke, I'm making sure the MAC reviews the last few minutes of the game -- and for that matter a couple of curious noncalls on Miami's last TD drive -- and provides some kind of explanation. 05-mafia Even the other officials seemed mystified on the last two PI calls.

I'm more concerned about the "cushion" we give receivers, and the failure to "look" for the ball (after 3-4 seconds). Very disconcerting.

Yes, uncharacterically large cushion at times, I agree. It tightened up later in the game, but there were definitely some lapses in concentration. We can't have that this week, obviously.

RE: CMU Secondary
WMU will be pass-happy since Franklin is not going to be playing much, if at all. Chance, our veteran senior is a small but feisty RB, but he can only be OK when it comes to bad run D's. So basically we're just going to use him to try and keep the CMU defense honest.

Not buying it, Todd. Franklin practiced all week. He'll play, 100% or not. And Mr Cherocci and company will be looking for him. 05-mafia

RE: CMU Secondary
He's practiced limited, from what I read. It's not a bad sprain, but we're going to avoid aggravating it. I would expect him to be put in on certain 2nd/3rd/4th and 1 plays and others a couple yards out from the goal-line -- but I also expect that to be about it.

Rumors were that he was seen in a wheelchair crossing the street from DQ in the greater campus area. Of course, take our rumors with a grain of salt. :)

Todd was given the script by Dip and he immediately goes off and ad-libs.

Franklin will be lucky to ever walk again, much less play football. C'mon, Todd, get with the program!

Here is Enos's problem. He doesn't recruit true corners. He recruits safeties and converts them to corners. They don't have the hips to get their body around when the ball is coming. So they face guard, and when they don't get burned they get tangled up and get flagged.

Enos plays zone and gives that cushion to compensate for them not being able to get their head or body around on deep balls.

His best corner was a converted WR.

I'm putting Todd on a two game suspension.
