I don't think cluley could hit receivers in the hands any better than those last few drops.

That will do it.

Love Laycock staring at the defense with what almost looks like contempt.

Bad time for the penalties and turnovers to finally show up.

It's a shame that the D kind of rolled over at the end.

A rival game, on national television, with the season on the line, with a lot of recruits in the house.

Giving up can't happen.

RE: Game 12 -- Richmond
The offense put the defense in a hole all night. I'm not going to make excuses for Fischer gashing us on the long run or the last drive of the first half, but I thought the defense did okay given the turn overs on offense.

Game 12 -- Richmond
Fisher and Diggs were too much for the gutty little tribsters. Diggs is a player. Dedman's miss plays hurt. The better team won.
Great win in Houston for the basketball guys.

It took people a while to come back after the half. Most of the students returned, but a lot of the other parts of the stadiu never really filled back up

Wouldn't have thought I'd ever say this, but I won't attend a night game well into November again, national TV or not......made for TV, but not for the paying fans.

RE: Game 12 -- Richmond
I need to stop going to UR games.

1998: W&M was in a free fall, got killed
2000: W&M defense melts down, Corley takes a terrible sack to knock them out of range of Brett F'n Sterba
2001: Won but tried like hell to lose
2003: That one was pretty fun
2008: Ugh, Part 1
2009: Ugh, Part 2
2010: Hey, that one was fun too
2014: Ugh, Part 3

Strauss and his receivers made plays all night. Cluley's receivers let him down. Can't turn it over 3 times against a good opponent and expect to win.

I don't understand our secondary play at all. Really miss Derek Cox and Bw Webb. Strauss took advantage of it all night long like I expected most other teams would try to do all year.

On the plus side - I can turn my attention to much warmer indoor activities.

By the end of the game I was missing DeAndre Houston-Carson and Trey Reed. Having back up corners in certainly didnt help

RE: Game 12 -- Richmond
No pass rush also hurt us badly--where were our guys?...Strauss had all night back there. Defense was killed all season by better CAA qbs at Villanova, UNH, JMU and now, Richmond.

Agree with all...the three turnovers cost us any chance winning the game.

RE: Game 12 -- Richmond
It will be interesting to see how the defense sets up next year. This year we had nine guys back from a squad that was lights out, and we expected the defense to be really strong. It did not turn out that way, and now we lose guys that have been fixtures for years. We have other starters like Deandre & Luke back, but a lot of leaders will be gone.

On offense, we finally have a QB that will return, and all the OL will be back, assuming the injuries resolve by then. Tre and Sean leave huge holes, I really love Dedmon, but he does not have the size to fill in Tre's spot. Reeves was a non factor this year, and dropped big passes early, and did not seem to get looks later in the season. We had TE's get experience when Bo was out, but we need some WR's (Hart?) that have a little size out there. MAS should be set for a good year.
